Announcing Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk 10th Anniversary Date!
Scott Kelby announces the official date of his highly anticipated 10th Annual Worldwide Photowalk®, the world’s largest Photowalk! The event is happening October 7, 2017 in thousands of cities all over the world.
The Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, dubbed the world’s largest global and social photography event, has grown immensely in size and popularity since the inaugural walk in 2007. Last year, more than 25,000 photographers of all walks of life and skill level converged to explore their corners of the world through photography and social community.
The concept of a Photowalk is simple. Photowalks are created by Walk Leaders in cities all over the world. Walkers meet up at a pre-designated location – downtown areas, zoos, business parks, you name it! – to spend a few hours socializing, capturing images and sharing with like-minded people. At the end of the Photowalk, most groups convene at local restaurants or taverns to share their images and experiences over food.
In addition to the event, photo walkers will be able to upload their favorite picture to our popular Photowalk contest for a chance to win Scott Kelby’s THE PHOTOSHOP CC BOOK FOR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHERS e-book , a DSLR, gift cards, apps, camera bags and more. We will also name a Grand Prize winner and 10 finalists to be selected by Scott Kelby himself!
The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Register at www.worldwidephotowalk.com, locate your city and complete the free sign up form. You can also apply to be a Photowalk leader in your area.
This year, we encourage every photo walker to help support this year’s initiative to “Walk with a Purpose” by donating to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya! https://www.generosity.com/community-fundraising/let-s-transform-orphans-lives-together-wwpw2017
Additionally, participants can connect socially before, during and after the event using the hashtag #WWPW2017 hash tag on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

About the WorldWidePhotowalk in Inverness, Florida:
Calling all my fellow photographers to celebrate the WorldWide Photowalk in Inverness, Florida! Enjoy a fun morning filled with our favorite thing, taking photographs. There is also a photography contest with prizes, how can you beat that! We will start our photography journey on the Cooter Park Boardwalk, enjoying nature and then on to downtown to photograph our beautiful Courthouse Square area. After the photowalk I would like everyone to join me for a get-together at Stumpknockers in downtown Inverness, for some great local food and conversation. See you there!
About your Inverness, Florida Walk Leader: Gina Lamar
This is my first year as a WorldWide Photowalk Leader and I am so excited. I know that as an extrovert, sometimes photography can be a solitary career choice, so this is a great way to go meet like-minded creative people.
